Catherine Bérubé completed a diploma of college studies in agroenvironmental horticultural production technology from the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire du Québec (ITAQ) in La Pocatière. She also holds a diploma of college studies in arts, letters and communication from Cégep de La Pocatière, where she honed her skills in writing, graphic design and video editing. Having grown up on an organic farm, she has been an avid nature lover and environmentalist since her early childhood. She was hired as an intern at Biopterre during her studies at ITAQ in 2017. Since then, she has been working with the Smart Cultures unit in the controlled environment laboratory facilities.
