Gustavo Balduino Leite obtained a bachelor\u2019s degree in biology and a master\u2019s degree in molecular biology from Universidade de Bras\u00edlia (Brazil), as well as a Ph.\u00a0D. in microbiology from Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, where he specialized in the metabolic engineering and physiology of bacteria, yeast and microalgae. Following his doctoral studies, he worked as a postdoc researcher in microbial biofuel production at Queen\u2019s University (Kingston, ON), in synthetic biology at Concordia University (Montr\u00e9al, QC) and in biostimulant development at the Institut national de recherche scientifique (Qu\u00e9bec, QC). He also held a contract position as a professor at Universit\u00e9 Sainte-Anne (Church Point, NS) and taught at Dalhousie University, Yarmouth Campus (Yarmouth, NS). Dr.\u00a0Leite joined the Biopterre team in March 2023, bringing with him his scientific experience in the biochemistry and metabolism of heterotrophic and photoautotrophic microorganisms.<\/p>\n
