Salma Taktek, Ph. D., holds an engineering diploma in biotechnology and a master’s degree in biological sciences from the National Engineering School of Sfax in Tunisia. In 2015, she obtained a Ph. D. in agri-food microbiology from Universit\u00e9 Laval. Her doctoral research project focused on the biological dissolution of phosphates and the interactions between bacteria and mycorrhiza. Winner of three awards highlighting the quality of her doctoral research, she has more than 11 years of experience in scientific research in the public and private sectors. In recent years, she has developed several biotechnology procedures such as the development of microbial bioinoculants, the development of screening tools targeting microorganisms (bacteria, fungi) with specific attributes, the optimization and scaling of microbial fermentations, and the production of enzymes and bioactive molecules for various applications. She has also been active at the international level, through the publication of several scientific articles and her participation in conferences. She currently works as a teacher and researcher at C\u00e9gep de Rivi\u00e8re-du-Loup, where she focuses on the recovery of residual materials and water treatments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
