Aleena Massenet holds a college diploma in horticultural production and environmental technology from the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire (ITA) in Saint-Hyacinthe and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in physiology from McGill University. She has also completed a master’s degree in environment and sustainable development (biogeochemistry profile) at Université de Montréal, during which she led or took part in several research projects on the theme of phytoremediation at the Institut de recherche en biologie végétale (IRBV). It was her interest in the environment, plants and research that led her to Biopterre.
