Marise Ouellet, professor and member of the department of biological sciences and techniques at Cégep de La Pocatière, has the following academic background:
- B. Sc. Chemistry, Université Laval (2002)
- B. Sc. Secondary Science Education, Université Laval (2003)
- M. Sc. Chemistry, Université Laval (2004)
- Ph. D. Chemistry, Université Laval (2007)
Investigation of membrane disturbance mechanisms of amphiphilic peptides by solid-state and infrared NMR spectroscopy.
Since joining the Cégep in the fall of 2011, she has taught different chemistry courses in the natural sciences, nursing and bioecology techniques programs. Marise also had the opportunity to participate in two PART projects with Biopterre, both focusing on the characterization of biochar. Her fields of interest lie mainly in the characterization of compounds and intermolecular interactions by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and infrared spectroscopy, and Fourier transform.
