Rachel Rioux, microbiologist, holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and a master’s degree in agricultural microbiology, both from Université Laval. Her master’s degree focused on gene expression in bacterial strains with probiotic potential. Since 2011, she has been teaching at Cégep de La Pocatière, mainly microbiology courses to future technicians in the animal health techniques, nursing and programs. She collaborated with Biopterre on the PART project “Development of microbiological indicators of global soil health for the organic vegetable sector”. She is also part of the team that created the student-researcher program, a collaboration with Cégep de La Pocatière and Biopterre, in addition to participating in the supervision of the student-researcher project.
