Simon Castonguay graduated from Cégep de Rimouski in 2001. Since 2008, he has been a practical assignment technician at Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup in the science department. More particularly, he collaborates with the water-management techniques and biomethanization and composting techniques programs. Prior to working at Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup, he gained laboratory experience in soil, plant tissue and water analysis for Tourbières Berger, in addition to being responsible for quality control analyses (ISO 9001) during the production of peat-based substrate. Most recently, he joined the research team at the Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup where his main functions are laboratory coordination, analytical method development, experimental protocol drafting and quality control procedure implementation.
